Currently the Utah Courts have made participation in the e-filing system voluntary. As the use of e-filing  grows in the state, that may change. E-filing is encouraged as it will allow firms to reduce the amount of paper and staff time used to deliver documents to the courts. E-filing is expected to allow the courts to refocus court support staff to other activities and improve the overall efficiency of the courts.

As of April 1, 2013,  mandatory e-filing on all civil and domestic matters. On July 1, 2013 all Probate matters are now mandatory e-filing. Criminal matters are optional at this time. We encourage our users to e-file in these matters.
