The Court’s E-Filing Consistency Committee (EFCC) has announced they are making a change to the document types utilized when filing an Appearance of Counsel and a Notice of Limited Appearance. The change is intended to ensure attorneys are added as attorneys of record to the case, and also removed when withdrawals occur, in a more efficient and consistent manner.
When filing an Appearance of Counsel or a Notice of Limited Appearance, filers should now use the the document type entitled Appearance of Counsel / Notice of Limited Appearance. Essentially what were two different document types is now just one document type to be used for either type of document.
When your filing is accepted and docketed, it will appear as Appearance of Counsel / Notice of Limited Appearance.
Green Filing has updated its software as of February 7th, 2014 to facilitate this change.
