When you e-file any document, upon the receipt of that document the Court immediately generates email notifications to all attorneys of record on the case indicating that a new document was filed. This occurs before the document is Accepted and docketed on the case.

In the case of an Appearance of Counsel, the filing attorney does not become an attorney of record on the case until the filing is Accepted, therefore since the email notifications were generated before the filing was accepted the filing attorney would not have been included in those notifications.

The filing attorney will, however; receive an email indicating the filing was accepted. For any future filings that occur on the case, this attorney is now and attorney of record and will receive new filing notification emails.
