As we talk to customers, we are frequently asked questions that become sort of self-explanatory if there is an understanding of exactly how an e-filed document is processed from the time the document is submitted to Green Filing to the time the filer is notified (via email) of the filing’s status. The following steps attempt to describe that process in some detail in an attempt to create this understanding.

The E-Filing Process

  1. Select an E-Filing Service Provider An attorney can submit a document to be filed electronically by selecting a E-Filing Service Provider who has been certfied by the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts. We highly recommend you select GreenFiling.com.
  2. E-File Your Pleading Once you’ve logged into GreenFiling.com, you are able to create a new case, or file a new document on an existing case. By simply selecting the appropriate option within the GreenFiling application, filling out a few fields, and uploading your document, you are able to submit your pleadings to the Court.
  3. Receiving Your Notifications once the court has accepted your filing, you will than receive notification email from Green Filing. This notification is called accepted/or rejected notification. Also, you will receive a service notification indicting parties have been served with those documents.
