To notify the Court of a party or attorney change on a case, users must file a document on the case indicating as such, and complete the following steps in the filing process:
- Begin a new filing, by clicking the Create New Filing link menu tab on the left hand side of the screen.
- Enter the case number for the case you are going to file on and make a attorney and or party change.
- After selecting the case, the system populates a drop down that allows filers to “select an actor” on the case. Select the party or attorney you wish to edit and click the View / Edit button.
- A pop screen will appear with required and optional fields for changing a party or attorney’s information. The court requires filers to enter a party role and party last name. The rest of the data is optional and you may view and edit that data by click the arrow next to Optional Fields.
- Once the system updates the data, click the Save button.
- Complete the rest of the steps to file you document and submit your filing to the court.
