If you have submitted a document that was accepted and filed on the WRONG case, complete the following steps.
- Re-File the document on the correct case immediately.
- If you want the document REMOVED from the wrong case, they you will need to prepare a Motion and Proposed Order and file those documents on the case where your document was incorrectly filed. If the Judge grants the motion and signs the order, the Court clerk will remove the document from the record.
- If you want the Court to make a note on the record that the filing was a mistake, call the e-filing specialist at the Court you filed the document in and inform them of the error. The Court clerk may then make a Case History note on the record / docket indicating the filing was in error.
